It took almost the entire day to hike to this waterfall outside Banff, Canada. I heard it for almost two hours before I saw it. The power of the water was magnified by the narrow gorge it was forced to flow through just before it cascaded over the edge. Each time I look at this picture, I hear water roar! The serenity of this mountain slope provides an interesting backdrop to the might of the falling water. The simplicity of the cross contrast with the majesty of Christ in a similar way. He didn’t die on the cross because He had too, He died on the cross because He chose too. In so doing He demonstrated absolute power. The power over sin and death! |
