It is the pots in the window, not the window itself that drew my attention. They contrast nicely with the bleached colors of the rock wall and the dark brown of the shutters. Further, they symbolize the house which hosts them. Each is a perfectly formed protective vessel for the flowers they contain. The beauty of the flowers is a testament to the pot which holds them. So it is with each of us. We live in a world fashioned by the hands of a loving Lord. A world designed to nourish and enrich us. Life is God’s gift to us. How we live is our gift to God. |
