Fingerpainting comes easy to children. They quickly embrace the feel of the paint. A feeling that would send most adults to the showers. This photograph of a child’s fingerpainting of a rainbow is an example of joy. You can almost hear the child’s laughter as again and again she placed her hand in a bowl of paint and pressed it against a sheet of paper. There is joy in artistic expression and joy in the hands that craft it. There is comfort in a hug and comfort in the one who gives it. There is peace in being held by the one who gives true peace. He’s got you and me, Mommy in his hands and we are comfortable, at peace and joyful because of it. |
