I will never forget the early morning that I strolled the beach of Jekyll Island with my three year old daughter. She saw them first, three perfect seashells. Each still connected at its hinge. Then I spotted the cross made of two pieces of seaweed that lay with them. This scene was photographed just as I found it, nothing was re-arranged. A perfect cross and three perfect shells lying on a beach washed clean by the morning tide. Notice how these shells seem to be drawn to the cross as though it were a magnet? Christ is drawing us to His cross to wash us clean and make us perfect again just like these three shells on the beach. |
